I've Got Mail

Do you see all this? THIS is the reason I had a super-duper week. Never before I have got so many packages together in mail. And I just couldn't help posting them altogether.

Let's see what I have got from where.

The first mail I got was from Just4Girls.pk. I ordered these on their website and my oh my how impressed I am with their services. They keep track of each and every package and they have the fastest delivery I have experienced by far. They have made it a treat for all Pakistanis to indulge in all those high and low-end International products which were so out of reach before. I picked for myself:
Beautyuk Shatter Polish in 'Punk' - PKR 650 (this is actually for my friend)
Beautyuk Stripey Blush in 'Pink' - PKR 750
Beautyuk Concealer in 'Nude' - PKR 550
Oriflame Beauty Kajal - PKR 399

Next in line was Liz Earle's package. I reviewed their amazing Cleanse and Polish recently and as a thank you note they sent me:
Instant Boost Skin Tonic (200ml) - £12.25
Skin Repair Light Moisturiser for combination/oily skin (50ml) - £18.25
With this they also included 'Sheer Skin Tint samples' in 3 different shades.

This and the next was the package I was not at all expecting. But well they made my week more awesome. Elizabeth Grant generously send me some things to review:
Cleansing Mask - $30.00
Golden Caviar Eye Pads - $50.00
Advanced Celluer Age Defense Day Serum -  $65.00

Don't you find them so cute? Thanks to Lime Crime I am able to try their fab products. In their package I got:
Magic Dust Eyeshadow in 'Twilight' - $14.00
Candy Eyed Eyeshadow Helper (waterproof) - $17.00

And lastly - THE HYPE. I picked 'Sleek Pout Paint in Mauve Over' from Sarah Glossicious Blog Sale. Unfortunately, I was unable to transact the money and she was so utterly sweet to send it as a gift. And however tiny this thing is, it is worth all the millions. I HEART it. Hugs to you Sarah for giving me such an exotic lip paint.

I'd be reviewing each item soon. Just keep a look out. And till I post, I am going to have fun pampering myself with all these. ;)

Review: Sigma Buffer F45

SIGMA SAYS
Ideal to apply mineral foundation, loose or pressed powders. Also great to buff colors and obtain a soft, blended look. Natural bristles.

PRICE
$19.00
You can buy it online from Sigma.

FACTS AND FIGURES
The brush is about less than 3 inches in size, suitable for applying loose/pressed powder or mineral foundation. It comes in a translucent red bag which is so cute. You can check that here.

MY OPINION
Sigma Buffer F45 brush is so very dainty and petite in size and very fluffy and large from the top; I find this odd combination ADORABLE. F45 is particularly for giving that natural finish to your face. Lately, I have shifted to F45 from sponge to apply pressed powder to my face. What I like best about it is its pick-up power. The bristles are densely packed because of which it picks up good amount of product and gives a smooth, flawless application on your face. It also perfectly buffs out colours and is a life-saver in blending out the harsh lines in your makeup especially when you apply bronzer or blush. Because of its petite size F45 is your best travel buddy. It fits in like a baby.
Apart from all this I am personally of the opinion that F45 is not the softest brush ever. Plus I do see some shedding of bristles here and there, unlike the F80.
Still this doesn't keep me from being impressed with Sigma's brush line. And makes me yearn to have in possession each and  every brush by Sigma.

RATING

What I love about Sigma brushes is their great quality with a cheaper price tag. Everybody can’t spend on MAC but Sigma gets you that same thing within your reach and budget. And this Sigma F45 buffer brush is so many things in one.

Review: Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

ABOUT LIZ EARLE
Liz Earle Naturally Active skincare was founded in 1995 and has 16 years of botanical beauty expertise. They are passionate about all they do and create products that work on every skin type by harnessing the potent powers of the finest quality naturally active ingredients. Their products offer a simple, no-fuss and dependable routine for everyone.

Today I am going to review the multi award-winning Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. This year it won the Best Facial Cleanser Award and the Customer Choice Beauty Award.

LIZ EARLE SAYS
We only make one cleanser because this formulation is the ultimate in concentrated yet gentle cleansing power and works on every age and skin type.
Our plant based cleanser has a two-phase action, phase one is the cleansing. Free from mineral oil, it has a rich and creamy texture and swiftly removes all traces of face and eye make up, even stubborn mascara.
Phase two is the polishing. Polish off the cream using the pure muslin cloth to gently dislodge dead skin cells and help reveal clean, soft and radiant skin.
Naturally active ingredients include eucalyptus and cocoa butter for smoother, clearer skin.

FACTS AND FIGURES
I got the 100ml pump starter kit which has two muslin cloths with it. The cleanser has a pump nozzle which makes it very easy to use without wasting any product. Different sizes from 30ml – 200ml are available online. In the starter kit comes a Product Guide and a Newsletter.

PRICE
£13.75
You can buy online from Liz Earle. They ship worldwide.

MY OPINION
I wanted to start lathering the cleanser on my face the minute I saw it. It has a very rich look, all that with  top-notch packaging. I made sure I had makeup the day I tried it. The first thing I noticed while massaging on my face was the light, soothing, pleasant fragrance. I LOVED IT. The creamy formula is perfect. And what with so many instructions written everywhere, nobody can go wrong with its application. During the cleansing process, I could see my makeup being removed. I had my blush and mascara on. And to really test out how effective it is in removing all traces of makeup, I had applied some red lipstick and kajal. And yes. This cleanser removed it ALL. I always use my trusted Vaseline to remove makeup, and always had some traces of kajal or mascara left. But this cleanser cleaned my face, like bleach whitens clothes. Then I went on to the polishing part. I dipped one of the muslin cloth in hand-hot water and started wiping off the cream gently. When I found the muslin cloths in my starter kit I was delighted. Everything included? Awesome. But I had some reservations. When I touched it, it felt rough. But once I dipped it in water it was as soft as silk on the face. The texture of the muslin cloth gently exfoliates the skin too. I wiped off the cream, washed my face with cold water and dabbed it with towel. The best thing was that this cleanser did not only remove my makeup, but I also felt that my skin has been born again. And NO. I am not exaggerating. My skin felt super soft and radiant.
I was not expecting this cleanser to be this awesome. Why? Because I have a combination skin, and most creamy products break me out. So, I was hell impressed that it I did not sprout even half a pimple. It is suitable for all skin types.

RATING

Not overrated with its claims, Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser is worth every penny. And every skin deserves to feel this beautiful.

August Hits and Misses

Another month goes by, so time for another Hits and Misses post. Here are my loves and not-my-loves of August.

HITS
1. POCKET MIRROR
Isn't this thing absolutely dazzling? My cousin gifted me this on my birthday a week back. A girl's makeup bag is incomplete without a pocket mirror. Though I had one, but not as intricate and beautiful as this. For months I have been drooling on Sigma's Heart Shaped Mirrors and now I can definitely find something new to drool on. I'd really consider it my best gift of this birthday.

2. SIGMA EYESHADOW PALETTE IN 'FLARE'

Sigma Eyeshadow Palettes are the new hype. And out of the three 'Flare' definitely gave me some awesome eyeshadows to play with. For a detailed review of this palette, click HERE. To see the look I created from 'Flare' click HERE.

3. ETUDE BLUSH IN NO.20
I have used this blush a lot this month. Since I have bought it (that would be last year) even the most expensive of blushes cannot compete with the colour it gives to my cheeks. This blush gives me the most radiant, shimmery, peachy glow. It is perfectly pigmented, easily buildable and blends smoothly. There is a slight fallout, but who cares, I so love the colour.

 4. BEAUTYUK SHATTER POLISH IN 'GOTH'
This is my first shatter polish. And yes, yes it is worth every penny. You need to get a hang of application to get a flawless shatter look, but it is not at all hard. After a few strokes I knew how to get a thin or thick shatter. To see how jazzy the black shatter looks on my nails click HERE. I plan on doing a detailed review on it soon.

MISSES
 5. W7 LIPGLOSS
02; that is what the shade is called. First, brands with no product names only numbers show their lack of creativity. I forgive Etude's blush above, because it is SO awesome. But this gloss, I don't even know why I bought it in the first place :S Don't be fooled by its colour, because it deposits none. I can't even use it as a transparent gloss because somehow it makes the other whatever colour lipstick pink. How weird -_- And the cherry on top is that the gloss keeps oozing out of the bottle making all its lipgloss neighbours sticky.

 6. LDM PARIS MOISTURE LIP GLOSS (01)
Another bad lipgloss purchase, but not as bad as the first one. The first time I used it I kind of liked it. This is a long wear lip gloss which dries on your lips for 24 hours stay. And yes it does stay on my lips even after I am done eating and drinking, but if I use it with any other lipgloss/lipstick it maybe disturbs the formula or something because the gloss comes off leaving my inner lips bare and outer lips lined. To avoid looking like a lipstick disaster I have to keep checking and reapply. And if I use it all alone it makes my lips look parched.

I hope this month's post again gives you some new things to buy and some to stay away from.
