My Favourite Beauty Products Throughout The Wedding Break

Hello beauty lovers! It seems like decades since I last wrote here. And it feels so damn good to be back. My wedding is over and it was a beautiful series of events. I will definitely do a post on it soon.
If you have heard anything about the beauty of Germany, every word you have heard is RIGHT. It’s like city life in a forest. I am living in Düsseldorf and I have not seen such greenery, such grandness anywhere else.

Today I am doing a post about my staple beauty products throughout my journey from pre-wedding to wedding to Germany. Some I got from Pakistan, some I purchased here but I love each of them to bits and have not stopped using them.

JAPANESE CHERRY BLOSSOM EAU DE TOILETTE & BODY LOTION
I got this duo from a store here. I bought the Eau De Toilette for 23 euros (PKR 2500 approx.) and got the sample size Body Lotion in a deal for free. And both these smell D-I-V-I-N-E. I just can’t seem to get enough of their scent. It is feminine, it is romantic, it is refreshing. Its top notes are of cherry blossom, apple and magnolia. And anything softly floral is just me.

SLEEK GLISTEN ME LIQUID ILLUMINATOR – EMPRESS
I like liquid highlighters because they blend so well, are silky soft and give a very natural glow. Sleek’s Glisten Me Illuminator does all that. It is a gorgeous shimmery, golden highlighter and I have been using only THIS since I have bought it. I got this from just4girls.pk for PKR 995.

5 Beauty Items You Must Never Share | Marib's Blog

This is the last of the guest post scheduled on my blog. Do you know what that means? That means..I will be BACKKK soon yayy! We have Marib as a guest blogger who writes about makeup-sharing blunders we all do without thinking and why to avoid them..
________________________________________________

1. Contact lenses: While you might feel the urge to try and see how your friends pair might look on yourself, there are silent risks involved in the process. Irritation, red-ness, blurred vision are expected dangers. While in some rare cases; the development of corneal ulcer. Ouch!

2. Mascara: Most of us are aware of this one but only some know why. Sharing mascara is probably the biggest of all beauty sins a women could commit. Pinkeye disease, staph, bacterial and viral infections are all commonly associated with sharing mascara. Next time when your BFF needs to borrow, you ought to speak!

3. Sponges: The mere thought of borrowing a make-up sponge delivers goosebumps across my arms. Think about it, letting a dear friend borrow the sponge placed in your daily compact.. not only will the bacteria trapped inside the sponge, transfer onto your friends face, there will be a risk of you and the sharer of breaking out or developing a bacterial rash.

4. Anti-perspirant roll on: Who on earth could possibly, reasonably explain the mere act of "sharing" roll-on's?! Disgusting as it sounds, you wouldnt dare try. Arm pits tend to produce more sweat and sebum than the rest of the parts of the body. With that said, you wouldn't share a roll on, previously used on someone else's sweaty arm pit area. Would you?

5. Razors: If you're high on hygiene like me, than you possibly wouldn't allow your roomies paws on your razors. You shouldn't, there's much said about catching HIV or Hepatitis C through sharing razors with the infected. I'd say prevention is the key!

Now that you know why you shouldn't share certain grooming items, educate tour companions and reduce the chances of being affected.

While Shang goes on a lil' wedding break, us fellow bloggers get a chance to guest post on her blog. For which I may add a massive thank-you. :) If you found my post interesting then make sure to visit my blog at maribmaqsood.blogspot.com, blogging from Lahore about all things pink and beautiful!

Wow, didn't see it before taking the pictures what had happen to one of my lashes! Schwuuuing!
This is what you get when you're zig zagging the mascara wand one or two many times containing fibers!
I should have removed it if I had seen it, but hey, I'm not perfect!
Anyway! It's been sometime since I did something fun with yellow. So here's me making a soft look out of yellow, pink and purple, and also together with another favorite of mine; keeping the lower lash line totally light!
Do you dig that too??

Products on me:
Primer - NYX JEP in Milk
Shadows - MadMinerals Multi Use Pigments in Taxi, Trust Fund, Rave and Black Cherry. Barry M Fine Glitter Dust in Iridescent Gold
Eyepencil - Eau La La Liner in White Noise from Sleek
Mascara - Fat Brush Mascara by Eyeko
Brows - Lancome Le Crayon Eyekohl in Bronze

Enjoy!

FOTD: Gray Smokey Eye | Makeup by Kailan Marie

When you read this guest post, I would have reached Germany (hopefully) either fixated with fascination for the new country or filled with pakistan-sickness. Let's confirm that later and meet another beautiful blogger, Kailan from Chicago, IL, who is studying to become an ultrasound technician but makeup is her real obsession, which she loves sharing.

Hey everyone! Today I have a FOTD (Face Of The Day) post to share with you all today! Fall is near and I've been obsessed with smokey eyes and nude lips. I've been rocking a smokey eye in just about every color imaginable lately and today I chose to use grays. I hope you all enjoy this and maybe try a similar look yourselves!

Review Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes | Beauty by Krystal

It's the longest I have been away from my blog (details here). I am sure my hands itch to write now. I have a hunch I would be back obsessed more with makeup. But today another beauty-obsessed blogger, Krystal shares her honest opinion about Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes...
________________________________________________

I was gifted the Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes a while back and have been struggling to finish the 30 wipe pack. To begin, the wipes are said to remove your makeup, cleanse your skin and tone all in one towelette. In my experience, it removes makeup decently, I've had to use two wipes to get everything off my skin. As far as cleansing and toning, now this is where I'm struggling, it burns my skin so bad! I don't notice any cleansing, it leaves a film on my skin which makes it dry to a tacky feel. I always feel the urge to wash my face after using these wipes, with other brands I can use a wipe and then opt out of washing my face if I'm feeling lazy or have no time.

Tutorial: Pin-Up Red | Ayesha's Blog

By the time you read this post my wedding would have been over (keep your fingers crossed for some awesome pictures, if there were any haha). Today we have Ayesha, a 21 year old undergraduate of Jewelery Design. She loves all things beauty and fashion and takes to many photographs of anything and everything. Let's learn from her how to create the Fall's upcoming Pin-Up Red eye look  ...

As many of you may already know, one of the biggest makeup trends for fall 2012 is red eye shadow and as big a trend as it may be, it's not as easy to carry or so it seems! Done wrong, red eye shadow can make your face and eyes look poofy, like you've just cried your eyes out. However, done right, it's not at all the scary eye shadow that every one seems to think it is. So get that red eye shadow out and let's get started! :)

Blingy Accent Nail | Lawless Lacquer

While I become a Mrs. from Miss. and fly off to a whole new, exciting land (details here), Lynn from Lawless Lacquer will show you a drooling manicure!

Hi there!
I am absolutely thrilled to be writing on The Feminine Crusade today! This is actually my first guest post, yay! I knew I wanted to do something fun since it is a guest post and everything, but at the same time I wanted to do something that is very 'me'. If you've ever visited my blog, you know how much I love the 'accent nail' look. So for this post I am showing you a simple mani with a blingy accent nail.
For this look I used LVX Ecru which is a peachy nude creme, and for the accent nail I used OPI Spark de Triomphe, a silver and gold glitter.

I really love how these two look together. A perfect combination of classy and edgy. The accent nail adds just enough bling, without being overly in your face. I think that's why I am such a big fan of accent nail manicures, you get the best of both worlds! :)
Well that is all I have for you guys today! I hope you enjoyed reading my guest post as much as I enjoyed writing it!

The Best Makeup Storage | Lady Million

I am seven-feet deep in all the last minute wedding preparations while you read this quick and easy makeup storage post. We have the beautiful Katie from Lady Million weaving the magic of her organization obsession skills..
________________________________________________

Hi blog dolls! My name is Katie and I blog over at Lady Million.
You're reading this, so I already like you.  But I also like mimosas, makeup, and coffee in case you were wondering.

First, you should know extreme organization makes me weirdly happy. "A place for everything, and everything in it's place" one of my many mottos. Hence why I HAD to have this thing.  My hands were tied.  I had no choice.
Reason #2 is that I secretly want to be a Kardashian and they use this type of storage. Google it for proof.

How To Get Autumn's Berry Lip at the Drugstore | Beauty & Baggage

I am sure you'd be loving all the amazing guest bloggers that have been sharing their beauty passion with us while I am attending to my wedding preps. Today joining the bunch of all those inspiring bloggers is Seonaid from Beauty & Baggage...
________________________________________________
Hey everyone!
It's Seonaid here, from Beauty & Baggage. Today I'm talking about how to get that awesome, deep berry lip that has been featured in countless fall campaigns - YSL new Rouge Pur Mattes, Estee Lauder's Midnight Violets, Lancome's new purple-heavy fall collection - but for less at the drugstore.
Here are my five lipsticks and one lipliner that I think work to make an awesome berry lip.

L-R:  Accessorize Lipstick in Passionate; Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick in 04; Topshop Lipstick in Beguiled; Revlon Lipstick in Black Cherry; Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush; Sleek Eau La La Liner in Raisin.
These six lip colours represent all kinds of finishes - from sheer and glossy in Revlon's Crush, to matte and opaque in Sleek's Raisin. They also represent a spectrum of colour in the berry lip range, from deep blackened purple to a red wine. And not one of these products costs more than £8.
