Born Pretty Store Nail Foils - Review & Swatches

Born Pretty Store Nail Foils

I saw some foil nail art on many nail bloggers and their nails looked super pretty. And since the application didn't seem very complicated, I wanted to get hold of some.

Metal Nail Art Foil Rolls | Born Pretty Store | $2.99

The nail foils come rolled up in small containers. They are dirt cheap, you get a large roll and they last for so long. Plus, there are 27 different kinds over at Born Pretty Store.
HOW TO APPLY
Paint your nails with a colour of your choice, let it dry around 70% so that your nails are not wet yet slightly tacky. Press the foil sheet, glossy side up on your nails. The foil will transfer itself. Add a NON-fast drying top coat and you are done.

The application is pretty easy but still tricky. This is my third attempt which I have put up today. Most of the times, it was hard to know when my nails were not wet yet somewhat sticky. I ended up mostly applying the foil on wet nails and had to re-do again. Also the foil needs to be applied very smoothly, to avoid wrinkles. I am sure if you check over some youtube tutorials you will soon get the hang of it. A non-fast drying top coat is necessary or the foil shrinks.

I painted all my nails with Essence Black is Black except my ring finger which I did with Astor Yellow Buttercup. I used #6 nail foil on my ring finger and did the rest with #2. On the whole, these foils are pretty cool, a nice change from the one-tone nails still as quick and they look good and fresh for two days.

You can find these nail foils here and can also get an added 10% discount on an already 3-dollar foil roll by using the code VXL91.
