Sephora Ultra Shine Lip Glosses

MY OPINION
If any product is underrated, I think this would be it. I have never read or heard much about these lip glosses. Still it just has to be one of the best lip gloss formulas I have tried so far, drugstore or high-end. I wish I had bought more when I had the chance.

Anyway, regrets aside, I picked 51 Vibrant Coral, a nude coral shade; and 35 Funky Fuchsia, a bold fuchsia with pink shimmer. Vibrant Coral despite being called vibrant is not really one, it is more of a natural, toned-down coral colour which looks best when topped over a lipstick. Funky Fuchsia on the other hand is super pigmented with amazing colour payoff and does not need any lipstick underneath. Both these have a lovely shine to them, no crazy glossiness.

These lip glosses are slightly sticky, I like sticky formulas, they stay longer and in their case the darker shade stayed for 3 hours or more without eating or drinking. These also feel quite hydrating on the lips. The lip glosses come with an hourglass shaped applicator which makes application really easy and buildable.

RATING
Not the most long-wearing of lipglosses but definitely worth it for their amazing texture, formula and colours.

These are my amazing Large & Medium advertisers for August. Do pop by their fabulous blogs/shops! If you want to advertise with me, head over to my Advertising page here.

I am a photographer living in Washington State, but I have also lived in South Africa as well as in other parts of the U.S. I love the outdoors, and so I try to take landscape photos that show the beauty of nature. I also like working with macro photography, where I can photograph interesting objects or scenes up close. I hope you enjoy what you see.

Who am I? I'm Gina, 22 and a student (nurse), a fiancé, a “young mum”  (how I hate that generic label) to two beautiful little boys aged 6 months and 3 years, a friend, a daughter, a big sister, a cleaner, a cook lol among other domestic pleasures, and a million other labels but to name a few.
So what have I actually got to say? Well lots and lots on life, lifestyle, my family life, studies, my general opinions, thoughts, day to day musing and some product reviews on girly things, family products and anything else I want to praise or grumble about.
What do I think? My life seems so busy at times (slightly less until my maternity leave finishes in September) but i still feel pretty busy all the same,  but one thing I love is the written word reading and writing it and enjoy taking the time out to ramble on about the things jumping around in my brain, it’s like a form of therapy and stress relief, but also a passion for me.

Weekly Highlight: Rimmel Apocalips in Luna

Rimmel Apocalips in Luna
Rimmel Apocalips in Luna | $5.49, £6.49
Rimmel Apocalips in Luna

As mentioned in my Eid Blogger Swap I was sent this Rimmel Apocalips by Aaliyah from Pyari Beauty. I have and am obsessed with these amazing lip lacquers which are either a hit or a miss in the blogger world. I have reviewed the stunning shade Stellar already (review here).

If Rimmel Apocalips were available here locally, I would have been owning every single colour; that is how much love their shades and formula. After Stellar the next shade that took over my heart was Luna until I got to swatch it in a store in Amsterdam and I found it too ashy for my skin tone. There they also had different names to some of their shades but I have no idea why it looked so unflattering, another shade, formula or just lighting.

I was thrilled yet skeptical at receiving Luna in my little gift package. And I have to say it must have been the Amsterdam air since Luna looked gorgeous on me, a perfect warm peach with a slight brightness to it. I LOVE IT! Beautifully pigmented, it just is a stunner and I have been wearing it most of this week.

Birthday Wishlist

With only a few days away from my birthday and dreaming about all kinds of birthday treats, I decided to compile a list of stuff I really want this year. And there are times when my husband decides to drop by my blog *wink* So with this conspirational thought here is my wishlist:

1. Sigma Mrs Bunny Essential Kit - I have lost count of how many times this kit has appeared in my wishlists. I don't even want to splurge on other brush kits. It has to be this or no other!

2. Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Noir - I adore Juicy Couture perfume bottles, all their sweet scents are not up my alley but when I read about this new release Noir it sounded like something which I'd love to own, more for the bottle, less for the scent though haha.

3. ASOS Embellished Cat Eye Sunglasses - The days have gotten cloudy, we don't see the sun so much any more still my wanting for these embellished sunnies have not ended.

4. Bare Minerals Obsessed With Pink - I saw this limited edition kit in Sephora and ohemgee it has everything that a makeup fanatic like me could want; containing a full size Bare Minerals blush, lipgloss, eyeliner and eyeshadow duo. And it is called Obsessed with Pink...

5. Tabletop Spinning Cosmetic Organiser by Lori Greiner - I once saw it on letmakeitup1's vanity and I knew I wanted this. Unfortunately it is not available in Germany and shipping for this could be slightly pricier than normal.

6. Mango Ornamented Jacket - I have blazers and cropped jackets in almost every colour than black. I WANT black! This ornamented jacket looks so chic.

7. Mango Mixed Patterns Maxi Dress - I have never come upon a maxi dress that is a perfect style for me until this elegant piece flashed on my laptop screen and it was instant love. If I have to treat myslef to a birthday gift, I'd give me this.

Did anything from my Birthday Wishlist tickle your fancy?

Papa East Jewelry - Review

This is a scheduled post since I am vacationing in Paris right now. Follow me on instagram for a peek inside my Paris holiday.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

I was thrilled to be contacted by Papa East to review some jewelry from their website. They have a wide range of funky, stylish pieces at such affordable prices that I just can't stop myself from making an imaginary cart every week.

I was sent three items, each one of them is of very good quality, very sturdy. My favourite are the big chunky rings.

On the left. is the Dark Silver Hollow Pattern Ring (£4.50) which is plain stunning. Looks gorgeous with every outfit. If nothing else, I definitely recommend checking this ring out.
On the left is the Pink & Silver Crystal Ring (£3.50) which despite being chunky looks very dainty and feminine. And you can' go wrong with pink, right?

And the third is the Love Pendant Necklace (£4.00) which honestly I am not so crazy about, since we can easily get love necklaces everywhere and personally I find them a tad cheesy for my taste. Although I might wear this sometime to add a touch of cuteness to some outfit.

Papa East ships worldwide and provides free delivery over £25. Not because I received these items for free but honestly their jewelry is worth checking out. They have so many unique pieces that I haven't seen around in every nook and cranny. Papa East has also provided a 10% discount code 'PAPA10' that can be used on all their jewelry collection.

Disclaimer: This product(s) was sent to me for consideration to review. I was not paid for this review,  I am not affiliated with this company and the fact that the product(s) was free does not influence my opinion at all.

PBBC Secret Eid Swap

This is a scheduled post since I am vacationing in Paris right now. Follow me on instagram for a peek inside my Paris holiday.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

I have always wanted to be a part of a blogger swap but just didn't know where to start and who to trust. When the Pakistani Beauty Blogger Community decided to hold their second secret swap before Eid it just sounded too good to miss.

The whole idea of a secret swap is that you are paired with another blogger who is kept anonymous till after the swap. Each of the participating bloggers got to tell their wishlist and were allotted a budget of PKR 2000 to spend for their partners.

I counted days off my finger as I shipped my side of parcel and waited for mine to arrive. And it had to be one of the best days of July when I opened my mailbox to all these amazing goodies. They were far better than my wishlist and somehow things I definitely wanted. At the time I received my package I had no idea who sent it (though my guess was correct) but still to cut the suspense for all you reading this post my swap partner was the very sweet Atia from Makeup Monologue.

Who doesn't love S&G's Hand Food? I was definitely delighted to find this in the box since I have always wanted to give it a go. Then there's this cute pocket mirror which fits in any kind of bag or even your wallet. We don't have Elf in Germany and plus being a lippie hoarder this Elf Essential Gloss Stick had to make me happy.

I literally squealed in delight when I saw these three. I have raved enough about Rimmel Apocalips in my earlier review; to get Luna, the colour that I have been stalking over ASOS for so long just made my day. In fact all these three made my day since I could not find ScandalEyes Kohl Eyeliner in Nude here and being a lover of nail art, Barry M Nail Art Pen was definitely something I wanted to have.

And finally these ASOS Knuckle Rings were the cherry on the top. I have been wearing them since. I SO love them.

This has to be the one of best Eid gifts I have received so far. Thank you Atia for these gems and PBBC for holding such a fun swap.

Pop Of Floral

Even though Spring has been long gone and Summer is on the verge of ending as I can already see the sun failing to appear everyday and the cold draughts of wind. Still that doesn't mean we can't adorn some floral-ness before the Autumn dawns. Here is my little selection of wardrobe with floral pops picked from Box Clothing and River Island.

9. MIL-IDéE Floral Belt

My favourite pairing is 1 and 2. What is yours?

Mix n'Match Summer Manicure - NOTD

Mix n'Match Summer Manicure

Does it happen to you that you wanna paint your nails with every colour that lies in your drawer? If I could I'd be changing my nail colour every 3 hours. On a similar day there were a few summer-y colours lying in front of me and after not deciding on any one of them for 15 full minutes I just did this manicure.
