MY OPINION
Most of you do know Micellar Waters are rapidly taking over the regular makeup removers. Just because of the simple facts that these non-drying products are more gentle on the skin and remove makeup effectively without excessive tugging or pulling or causing any redness. They feel like water and do not sting even if you accidentally get them in your eyes. They are known to dissolve makeup. According to popular research they are a cleanser, makeup remover and toner all in one.

After wiping your makeup off with micellar water you don't feel the need to wash your face, which makes it super handy on a lot of occasions, to maybe refresh your makeup without going through all the skincare routine, or maybe on your long, tedious job hours or just on days when you are feeling lazy that besides splashing some micellar water you can't do anything else.

With their growing popularity more and more brands are coming out with their micellar waters and options which are more affordable than the infamous Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution and Caudalie Make-Up Remover Cleanser Water.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution won't break your bank and yet let you experience the joy of removing makeup from these gentle makeup removers. I have never tried, only heard about the miracles of Bioderma so I won't be comparing the two.Though there are many comparisons on the web and it would be worth your while to give them a look.

To start off with, L'Oreal's packaging is pretty flimsy. As I have already mentioned the consistency of these makeup removers is exactly like water. L'Oreal one has quite a big hole on its top to pour something as thin as water which makes drenching of cotton pads unavoidable. You have to be very careful as not to spill. This also makes this bottle more prone to wastage.

The first time I used it, I was hugely disappointed. I was being partial by comparing it to Bioderma and did not ooh and aah when it did its work. After forgetting it for a couple of months and then reading quite many reviews about it, I decided to give it another go.

I am a strong believer of double cleansing. L'Oreal's Micellar Water could be used as either a pre-cleanser or deep-cleanser but it won't make you skip a step, it's just not that effective. Also it does not remove very stubborn or waterproof makeup like mascara, glitters or heavy foundation. You will probably end up using 8-12 cotton pads if you intend to use this for complete removal of makeup.

Yes, it feels very gently, soft, refreshing. Yes, it is does not sting anywhere, is non-drying and I can skip washing my face without feeling icky (though I am pretty OCD about it). And yes it also works as a toner.

But how do I incorporate it in my routine? I remove my eye makeup with a separate waterpoof makeup remover, clean my face with a makeup wipe and then with 3-4 cotton pads soaked in this, I remove the rest of my makeup. So for me, it has replaced my Nivea Cleansing Milk or Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, not that it is better than Liz Earle (the most awesome thing ever) but only because that is darn expensive to be used daily.

Compared to my Nivea Cleansing Milk, I am happy with it, as it is less messy and I am not too keen on the whole greasy cleanser feeling on my face.Though one bottle won't last you long with the amount you need to use everytime. It does not wow me, nonetheless I love it!

MY RATING

Is it worth it? I think you need to try this yourself to decide where it fits in your skincare routine. I will definitely repurchase if I don't come across a similar-priced more effective Micellar Water.!
