I, for one, cannot live without a highlighter. They add such a beautiful glow to the face. But like all things, it is all about using them correctly on the right places. If overdone, there are chances you are going to end up looking like a metallic disco ball or even worse, super greasy.
So, here is a very quick guide to introduce you into the world of highlighters.
TYPES OF HIGHLIGHTERS
There are two types of highlighters commonly available.
Powder Highlighters
Powder highlighters are best for combination to oily skin. They won't make you look greasy yet add that sheen to your features.
Cream/Liquid Highlighter
These highlighters give the most natural of finish, feeling like a part of you, they are most suited for dry to normal skin.
ACCORDING TO SKIN TONE
Pink-toned highlighters are best suited for cool undertones. While gold undertones go best with warm skin tones. Here is a breakdown of best highlighters according to finish and undertone. This list is not definite. There are some highlighters like theBalm Mary Lou Manizer, NARS Albatross and Benefit High Beam that can suit multiple skin tones.
