I received this primer as a complimentary gift when I purchased a few things from Live Beautifully a few weeks back. That small haul can be checked here. I am so glad they did send me this or I would have not experienced the joys of this lip primer.

Honestly, with no exaggeration, this Lip Butter Primer has made my matte lipsticks a dream to wear. Especially those matte lipsticks that are unbearably patchy and drying but still you love their colour. This primer creates a very smooth, non-greasy base on my lips, nothing heavy. The base is very different from that of a lip balm, because if lipsticks are worn over lip balms they tend to slip more, give you a shine which you might not want and have their staying power decreased considerably. In the case of this primer which is very comfortable to wear and moisturising, you don’t get any extra unnatural glossiness.

This lip primer really preps my lips, sinks in well without sitting on the surface for long. I am super impressed that this handmade lip primer really worked. I love matte lipsticks but my lips get very dry which just irks me. And now I buy my favourite matte lipsticks knowing I won’t feel that pain of wearing them yaay.

On their website they also recommend wearing this lip primer under their lip balms for lasting and multi-dimensional shine, you can check their own image here, but personally I love to use this primer to prep my lips.

It only costs 3 dollars and is definitely worth a shot.
