Hits and Misses of 2014

How many of you anxiously wait for the Favorites of The Year post? Me, me, me! Reading about people’s must-haves, secretly starting my new year wishlist, scouting the makeup counters and hoarding for the next year’s Hits and Misses, is all so exhilarating. Although I am a tad bit late in joining the favorites bandwagon.

To be honest, on one hand, I stumbled upon some I-can-never-live-without stuff in 2014. On the other hand, some categories stay as repetitive as before (hint:foundation). And of course, we also cannot forget those products that did nothing besides making a hole in my pocket.

I have never come across such an irksome liquid lipstick. This has such a blotchy formula and starts to peel off once it has dried on lips.

Luscious Ather Shahzad Lip Gloss Palette (review)

If this thing wasn't too pricey, I would have forgiven it. Considering it is priced at PKR 2150 ($21) and contains a range of similar, non-wowing lip glosses, it is pretty useless.

Astor Seduction Codes Mascara (review)

I love Astor products! And it is such a sad thing that all its mascaras go straight to the misses, every year. Tsk, tsk! Again, this particular mascara is just a waste of money and does nothing for the lashes.
